Club Del Morocco on Historic Jefferson Street

our mission

The Jefferson Street Historical Society (JSHS) mission is to amplify, preserve and protect the world renowned- Historic Jefferson Street and its nearly 90+ Black owned businesses in a community-focused and sustainable way.

At our core, we aim to strengthen our community through beautification projects and cultural economics to make the appearance of Historic Jefferson Street hold power of its 160 year old legacy.

A modern day Black Wall Street and the only street in America today with Black owned businesses and three HBCUs, seven (7) music stages, and millions of historic moments cited and unknown to tell.

  • JSHS will evoke preservation guidelines that will allow us to improve the presentation of our beloved Jefferson Street.

  • JSHS is committed to arts and culture thriving on Historic Jefferson Street.
